Annie L. Wattenmaker is an associate in Cohen & Gresser’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration and White Collar Defense & Regulation practice groups.

Annie represents corporations, financial institutions, and individuals in complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and internal investigations. She has experience advising clients on matters involving regulatory enforcement, white collar and sanctions-related investigations, and complex civil disputes in federal and state courts. Her practice includes assisting clients with internal investigations and responding to inquiries and subpoenas from government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to joining Cohen & Gresser, Annie was an associate at Sidley Austin in New York. She previously served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Cathy Seibel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and worked in the Major Economic Crimes Bureau of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Annie received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law. She earned her B.A. in Biology and Global Public Health from the University of Virginia.
