Daniel J. Lee is an associate in Cohen & Gresser’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration and White Collar Defense & Regulation practice groups.

Daniel represents corporations and individuals in high-stakes disputes in federal and state courts, as well as in internal and government investigations. He has experience litigating disputes in areas including securities, copyright, consumer protection, contracts, and class actions.

Before joining Cohen & Gresser, Daniel practiced at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he represented leading global companies and financial institutions in litigation and investigation matters across a range of industries, including artificial intelligence, technology, finance, manufacturing, and aviation. He has managed complex fact and expert discovery, drafted dispositive and procedural motions, and prepared witnesses for deposition and trial.

Daniel previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nusrat J. Choudhury of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and Articles Editor for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. He received his B.F.A. in Drama, with honors, from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in English Literature.
