Lucy Taylor is an associate in Cohen & Gresser’s London office and a member of the firm’s Corporate group. She focuses her practice on complex cross-border private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.

Lucy has experience advising private equity sponsors, management teams, portfolio companies, and other corporate clients on cross-border investments, acquisitions, and disposals across a wide range of industries, including technology, financial services, consumer goods, and infrastructure. She also completed a secondment with a private equity client, where she worked on high-profile transactions, including the de-SPAC of a U.S.-based digital mortgage lender and a US$250 million investment into a leading global visual effects service provider.

Prior to joining Cohen & Gresser, Lucy practiced in the private equity group of Ropes & Gray’s London office, where she advised on domestic and international corporate transactions.

Lucy holds an LLB (Hons with American Law) from the University of Nottingham, where she graduated with first class honors.

Cohen & Gresser advised London-based robotics company Humanoid on its $152 million Series A financing at $1.35 billion post-money valuation. The financing establishes Humanoid as Europe’s first pure-play humanoid robotics company and will support the continued development and commercialization of its next-generation robotic platforms.

Founded in 2024 by entrepreneur Artem Sokolov, Humanoid develops commercially scalable, general-purpose humanoid and mobile robots designed for industrial automation, logistics, and factory operations.

Cohen & Gresser advised Humanoid on the transaction. The cross-border team was comprised of Olga Ponomarenko and Irina Bratishkina, with support from Christian Everdell on U.S. sanctions matters, Bonnie Roe and Kwaku Andoh on U.S. venture capital matters, Thomas Shortland and Alice Allen on litigation risk assessment, and Lucy Taylor on UK corporate matters.

A cross-border Cohen & Gresser team led by Daniel H Mathias advised Raine Ventures as lead investor in Wake Up Productions Limited’s recent capital raise. Wake Up Productions is the digital media network behind Piers Morgan Uncensored, developing and distributing original video and audio programming across news, politics, current affairs, and interview-driven content.

Cohen & Gresser acted as deal counsel to a consortium led by Raine Ventures, with a cross-border team led by London managing partner Daniel H. Mathias and associate Lucy Taylor.
