Daniel Joiner is an associate in Cohen & Gresser’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration and White Collar Defense & Regulation practice groups. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in areas such as contract law and securities litigation as well as white collar defense, regulatory enforcement actions and internal investigations for a wide variety of corporations, financial institutions and individuals including FCPA investigations, securities investigations, and investigations involving allegations of sexual misconduct. Mr. Joiner has also advised clients in crypto and blockchain-related matters in connection with investigations by federal and state regulators.

Prior to joining Cohen & Gresser, Mr. Joiner was a litigation associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. He also worked as a law clerk at Taylor, Porter, Brooks, & Phillips LLP, and as a legal intern for the Southern University Alumni Federation.

Mr. Joiner is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Black Law Students Association, serving as the chair of its H.O.M.E. Committee, which assists first-year and transfer students in transitioning to law school and the greater community. Mr. Joiner also participated in the Harvard Immigration & Refugee Clinic. He graduated summa cum laude from Southern University, where he received his B.A. in English.
